Fall 2020 Tournaments: A message from BEST Board of Directors

Dear BESTies, Coaches, Judges, and Members of the BEST Community, 

Over the last six months, we have faced the unprecedented and harrowing challenge of a global pandemic, and we recognize and appreciate the flexibility and commitment you have shown to BEST and its mission by continuing to make our programming possible throughout this time. 

In the interest of our community’s safety, we will host our two Fall regional tournaments (Sofia, Burgas) fully online. We know how special in-person gatherings are to the BEST family, and though the decision is difficult, we have a moral responsibility to protect the health and well-being of our students, teachers, coaches, volunteers and greater communities. 

We know that this continues to be a time of uncertainty and calls for enormous amounts of flexibility, creativity, and support from our community. We hope that coaches and student leaders across Bulgaria will join us in continuing to foster the BEST spirit of friendship, resilience, and perseverance during the online tournament season. We cannot wait to see you back in person when the time comes. 

We will re-evaluate this policy for the spring tournament season. Until then, stay tuned in to our Management Team for fall tournament updates, special awards and recognitions, and mental health resources.
