From Vision to Results: BEST Foundation Holds Wrap Up Seminar for its Student Leadership Program
From the 10th till the 11th of May in the city of Bankya, 2025, BEST Foundation had the pleasure to hold the wrap up seminar of our Student Leadership program. The event was attended not only by the Management Team, but by our 42 graduates! BEST Foundation is incredibly proud of this group of students and it was an absolute joy to witness their growth in real time. We believe we managed to create a space where our student leaders felt encouraged to experiment and to realise their personal ideas and dreams.
At the wrap up seminar, all graduates had to present their community projects. Altogether, the 26 completed projects reached over 213,000 people across 23 cities and more than 26 schools. The students had chosen a variety of topics for their projects, focusing on areas such as charity in support of hospitals, sick children, and at-risk youth; the environment; the health and hygiene of adolescents; encouraging interest in books and reading; preserving local cultural heritage; preparing graduating high school students for adult life; and more.
Some of the more interesting projects were the following:
A charity concert was organized in support of the children's ward at the hospital in Vidin, raising 4,400 BGN through donations. (High School for Foreign Languages "Y. Radichkov", Vidin). This was also the project that was named Project of the Year.
A video was created to help prepare students for adult life by teaching them financial literacy and practical life skills. (Language High School, Pernik)
A project to promote reading among various age groups was carried out through interactive events and the creation of reading clubs in Lovech and Teteven. (Language High School, Lovech)
An interactive digital map was developed to help preserve the linguistic and folklore heritage of the Pirin region. (Mathematics High School, Blagoevgrad)
A beach cleanup initiative was organized in Varna with the active involvement of the local community. (Mathematics High School, Varna)
Students received personalized gifts and new printed Fun Awards, which only fueled the celebratory atmosphere.
This event marked the end of the academic year. BEST Foundation was honoured to have been able to hold such an event for yet another year. We truly believe that the 2024-2025 SL Program was very successful. Yet, the SL program will continue to strive for improvement in order to ensure the quality support and opportunity for our future student leaders.
