Empowering the Mentors: BEST Foundation Holds Annual Coach Training

On the 9th and the 10th of September, BEST Foundation hosted its annual Coach Training online over the platform Discord. Coaches have always been one of the most important volunteers for BEST foundation and their respective schools. Therefore, we are honoured to organise an event that will prepare these motivated volunteers for the tasks they will have to undertake and challenges they may face throughout the academic year. We were delighted to welcome all 84 coaches to the online training sessions. 

The program was tailored to introduce new coaches to all the information they need about managing a team, registration, the tournament structure, what events students can compete in and tournament policies. The training was also open for returning coaches, who were interested in refreshing their knowledge and learning about any changes for the 2025-2026 academic year!

The training was led by our Coach Coordinator, Caroline Cassell, who demonstrated incredible dedication to helping out new and returning coaches alike. A digital Discord server was created in order to provide coaches with a safe space to reach out to management team members and inquiries throughout the year. All coaches showcased immense motivation to support their teams during the 2025-2026 academic year. BEST Foundation is incredibly grateful for their efforts.
